Moldova Update
- Kids are filling up clubs this fall in Moldova! Pray for their hearts and minds and for the Lord to touch every one of them deeply.
- The leaders of the Capernaum, the ministry of kids with special needs, continue witnessing miracles of healing and repentance. God uses this incredible ministry to draw His beloved children - kids and their parents - into a relationship with Him. Pray for His mercy and grace to continue washing over these families and the leaders.
- Winter clubs are being planned with kids' anxiously waiting to experience the most unforgettable time of their lives. Pray for the hearts to be ripe to receive Jesus.
GOD IS PLANTING SEEDS OF CHANGE IN MoldovA THROUGH YOUNG LIFE
Despite numerous challenges, thousands of teens still hear the message of hope. This is a true testimony to God’s ability always to raise beauty in place of hopelessness and pain. We believe He will continue to do so through Young Life Moldova.
Moldova is one of the poorest countries in Europe.
The early 2000s brought a modern-day exodus of more than one million Moldovans looking for work in Russia and other countries, leaving their children behind and creating a significant risk of mistreatment and human trafficking. Some children became street kids, some went to relatives' homes, and some went into institutional care.
Young Life has been instrumental in encouraging these at-risk kids through Young Life clubs and camps and introducing them to the love of Jesus Christ.
